Most of the mounts can be specified in yellow or white gold (9ct, 14ct or 18ct) and many of the same designs are also available in platinum.

About Black Diamonds Diamonds are usually assessed under 10x magnification. Flawless diamonds are exceptional and most stones used as gems will have some defects or inclusions. A clarity designated VS means very small inclusions; only visible under 10x magnification. Clarity or purity of the stones is more relevant with colourless or lightly coloured stones where inclusions or internal flaws can affect light transmission through the stone. For very dark coloured stones it is the cut and polished surfaces that are of greater importance as they mainly rely on light reflection from these surfaces.
Natural black diamonds are very rare and almost all the stones currently available are 'treated' natural stones. A fine white diamond, category 'D', of comparable size, might cost you £4,000 per carat. The stones offered on this site would have had internal flaws or been of an inferior colour and have subsequently been treated to provide a more saleable product at a fraction of the 'normal' cost. We charge a realistic price per carat of around £100 - £200, based on total weight.
Due to the low price of the stones we do not normally provide certification but can do so if you wish us to buy a particular gem on your behalf. Certification typically costs around 80 Euro but prices vary depending on the source of the stone. |

Other Colours If you would like a ring made to your specification using fancy coloured stones other than black then we are happy to source these for you. Typical colours for 'fancy diamonds' are Pink, Red, Cognac, Yellow, Green and Blue.
Prices start at around £1,000 per carat.
