An extremely rare and beautiful Victorian locket, circa 1870.
The locket is carved from tortoise shell and has the letters MEB on the front, standing for My Eternal Beloved. The shell has been thinly carved to the front and back and polished to give a translucent effect. This piece has been tested and is sold as genuine tortoiseshell.

RECENTLY ADDED! A small vintage carved bone pendant with engraved sailing ship. Lines in the material indicate that this item may be made from Ivory. However I cannot be sure and so it is sold as bone.
The center panel has been wound with silver wire to form a simple but effective frame and hanging loop. This is a very pretty item.
