 | Victorian Whitby Jet Picture IMO Locket Ref: CAT957
RECENTLY ADDED! A Victorian Whitby Jet IOM opening mourning locket with windowed frames to take photographs or locks of hair. Circa 1870.
The locket measures 5cm by 4cm (2" x 1-5/8") and is 1cm (3/8") thick. Inside there is space for two photographs under replacement Perspex windows. The front of the locket is carved with the letters IOM (In Memory Of) and the workmanship is of excellent quality.
The silver lining to the internal compartments is plain and the locket has the original silver window retainers in place. The locket is in excellent condition and closes with a healthy click. Overall weight is approximately 36 grams. More Pictures...

Victorian Whitby Jet Plain Cross Ref: CAT961
RECENTLY ADDED! A very wearable Victorian Whitby Jet plain cross pendant, circa 1890.
The pendant is suspended from a silver ring and measures 5.2cm (2"), excluding the ring, and is 3.3cm (1-3/8") wide and 5mm (3/16") in thickness.
The pendant is in very good vintage condition with just one small chip near the bottom. This looks much worse in the photograph than it appears to the eye and would not be noticeable when worn as the pendant can be worn either way round. The Jet also has some very slight inclusions, which is quite common in this fossil material. More Pictures...

 | Victorian Whitby Jet Round Pendant Ref: CAT946
RECENTLY ADDED! A very unusual round Whitby Jet pendant that might once have been a large watch fob.
The pendant has a flower motif on one side and on the other a stylised 'M' and what appears to be the name 'Peter Boro'. This is probably a mourning item with the 'M' standing for memory.
The pendant is slightly oval, measuring 3.8cm (1-1/2") by 3.4cm (1-1/4") and it is 1.5cm (1/2") in thickness. It has a metal loop at the top. More Pictures...

Small Victorian Vulcanite Plain Locket Ref: CAT530
A small plain oval shaped Victorian Vulcanite locket.
The locket has a plain polished front and back but the inside is beautifully detailed. The compartments are currently empty and there are no windows.
The locket measures 2.6cm (1") by 2.2cm (7/8"), excluding the metal ring. The locket is in very good vintage condition and has retained its original colour. There is one tiny chip to the inner part of the hinge but this is only visible when the locket is open. More Pictures...

 | Vintage Bakelite Cross Pendant Ref: CAT573
This is a Vintage cross pendant with raised brass detail.
This pendant is made from Bakelite which is an early plastic. It is rather crude in execution but this makes it quite a charming piece of mock gothic jewellery.
The pendant measures 8.5cm (3-1/4") by 5cm (2"), excluding the suspension ring, and is 4mm (1/4") thick. The pendant has been re-polished and has a good black colour. The only real 'defect' is that the central brass detail is set at a slight angle. This was certainly a manufacturing defect as the brass does not seem to have been reattached.
