 | Jewellery in the Flesh! Jewellery, especially Jet, is not always easy to photograph. I also appreciate how diffcicult it can be to get a sense of scale when you are considering buying pieces based on a few photographs.
Over the coming months (Cecilia permitting) I intend to add more pictures to the product pages in the shop. This is a big job, but somebody has to do it ;-)

The Story of Whitby Jet The Story of Whitby Jet by Hugh P Kendall is a small booklet, first published in 1936, which describes the rise and fall of the Jet Industry during the reign of Queen Victoria.
Hugh Kendall was honarary curator of the Whitby Museum and gathered much of his information on the Jet industry by interviewing Matthew Snowdon, a former Jet worker in the town.
This 27 page booklet is a must for any serious Jet enthusiast. |  |
